I feel like those of us who feel the calling to be prepared for unexpected disasters more often than not face one major hurdle, getting other people we care about on board. When it comes to disasters, natural and manmade alike, the default in our culture is certainly denial. No doubt it is way easier in the short term to keep one’s head in the sand and brush off realistic disaster scenarios with “it’ll never happen to me…”. So . . .
